Kirkwall flooded

Date is an estimate again. People were blaming the floods last year on climate change but this was nearly forty years ago...

Comments:
Interesting photo and a great topic of debate regarding the peedie sea and the oct 2006 flooding in the area and the more recent flooding of junction road. This looks like Pickaquoy Road not far from the mills filling station and new roundabout. The peedie sea was the council rubbish tip at this time and did not get its big cleanup/improvements until the late 70s when the mounding and boating pond was created. Wonder who the boys on the bikes were?
