This is the first in a series of The Longhope life boat launching from and being retrieved at the shed in Brims.

As you will see it was a lovely day and ideal conditions most unlike the rough days and dark nights they launched on service.

I was honored and privileged to join the crew as an observer on several occasions, all of them memorable giving me a much greater insight into their work and increasing my knowledge. Thanks to all the crew for having me along.
