Does anyone know the meaning/story of the 4 symbols? I could make a guess, but someone must know the original intent.

Hi Karen

They are 'a sun', 'a ship', 'a star' and 'a cornstalk' from the poem 'A Work for poets' . The last two lines are carved round the stone.

Could you give the exact location of the gravestone in the cemetery? I'd like to be able to find it when I visit Orkney this summer.
