It's a Morris traveller-Don't know the year but I'm sure someone else can identify it from the way the grain lies in the wood or something obscure like that.....

What's known in England as 'Tudor cottage on wheels'!

Well, it's a Morris Minor 1000 (I can just about see the '1000' on the bottom right of the rear door panel), which were in production until 1971 (I had one of the last ones until recently, known lovingly by everyone, including myself as 'Doris the Morris), and is a great little car. The driver is probably carrying something in the rear, because the bench seat has been half-folded down (it folds down completely flat, giving a great roomy space.)He's also left the rear doors unlatched (that handle should be in the horzontal position, so he might lose that load soon! The wood seems to be in good condition, which is an important point with the Traveller as it's part of the main body structure so an MOT failure point, as well as expensive to repair; but like ALL parts of ALL MMs, everything is still available, and one can even fit 'modern' things such as disc brakes to them. He's also fitted a towbar! (note the box bar under the rear bumper) I pulled a small caravan with mine for a while. It pulled ok, but the car is really too light for anything except a small trailer - especially with only drum brakes (and a cable handbrake!)
I hope this is of interest. Lots more info on the M.M. Owners Club website: www.mmoc.org.uk

I would say it is a Morris Minor Traveller.

Yes it is most certainly a Morris Minor Traveller. They were produced between 1952-71.Diffcult to ascertain exact year as grey was a popular colour in five different series produced.
