Does anyone know what is going on here? The lifeboat and the pilot launch? seem to be moored up. There is something small and fast going out. The date is correct.

I'm sure I have this on video, although I'm not sure of the year. The Lifeboat was berthed here during the time the pier was being extended. I remember some guys being picked off the little boat behind the pilot launch to the left of the picture in a coastguard excercise.
