We think this is Eleanor Groat from Stronsay. Her father was Jackie Groat, coucillor for the island. She has a sister Hilary and brother David.

This peedie lass is indeed Elinor Groat from Lower Millfield, Stronsay - still as cute but a little older! She became my wife in 1970.

Thanks for the info...wasnt sure if this pic and people mentioned were related to my 'Jackie Groat and Edna Yule'. Im in the process of doing my family tree and Edna is my grandmothers sister. I don't know too much about the brothers and sisters, so trying to piece information together. Appreciate you both, Jimmy Hamilton and Fred Johnston, replying.

Jackie Groat from Stronsay was married to Helen (Nell). I think her maiden name was Inskster, and she was from either Wyre or Egilsay. She taught at the Stronsay School
