"The Shapinsay Picnic one is from June 1953 and is of a group of children from the Kirkwall's Paterson Church Sunday School on a day's outing/picnic to Shapinsay.
From those I can remember they are:-
front row - Sheila Thompson, ? [? Marwick], myself [Marion Wishart]
middle row - Wendy Horne, ?, my sister Pauline Wishart, ?
back row - [? Mrs Foster], ?, ? Cursiter & sister Evelyn Cursiter.
Can anyone identify the rest?"

I ran across this site accidentally and unfortunately have no information on the picture. but marion wishart might be interested to know that my name is pauline wishart too, and my mother's name is marian wishart. Strange discoveries on the internet : )
