I need a little help with this one, another from Mum's 'archive'. I am pretty sure that this is my great-grandfather James Farquhar Groundwater who founded the baker and grocer in Albert Street. I don't know the occasion or anything about the trophies. He was born in 1861 and died in 1947 so I would guess this was taken around 1920.

Hi Rognvald, I also own a copy of this photograph and I couldn't work out who he was at all. It was in amongst my late Granny Nettie Baikie's(nee Hamilton) photos. The name Groundwater appears in our family tree so this might be a clue. I'll let you know how I get on.
