Searching this site for Primula scotica produces surprisingly few pictures, so I thought I'd add a couple. It's noted elsewhere that the particular crimson colour of the petals is hard to render correctly photographically, and this composite demonstrates that problem quite well. Top left and bottom pics (digital) are far too blue. Top right (Fujichrome film) is a bit closer but not quite right either. I suspect the problem lies in the fact that the colour seen by the human eye is not all down to pigment in the petals but also affected by (probably ultraviolet) light, which cameras/films react to differently.
