This was sent as a postcard to from my grandfather Charles James Low to his then fiancée Gladys. On the back it says "Kings Proclamation at Market Cross Kirkwall, lovely weather.

Proclamation of King George V, 11th May 1910. More details can be found at picture #21409, which was evidently taken a few minutes earlier while the dignitaries were still assembling.
