Seeing this photo in a larger size, I'm wondering if it was taken at the same time as the one of Danny, Tommy Chalmers, my father and uncle, Walter and Jim Ross, though the format of the photos I have is different. If so, maybe my father is the mystery person!

Year should be around 1937, or at least the same as picture #26976 as the two were probably taken at the same time.

I can just hear him right enough John.
Danny would sit outside the North Walls School House in the post van, a haze o' fag reek round him and toot his horn for me to come out and get the mail. Sometimes in a bad day I would never let on I heard him and eventually he got out and delivered the post.

Ah by faith hid wizna work that feenished Danny aaff Beryl, he didna walk if someen wid come oot tae him for the post,aam seen poor owld Jeenie Berry hirpilan doon the drive while Danny hooted on the the horn, bit by faith he wid trott inta the hoose wha gead him dinner or better still a dram!.
