Many people may remember when the Milldam of Voy used to exist here before being drained in the 60's. It was about the same area of water as this picture illustrates. The fencelines straight ahead are the boundry between the parishes of Stromness on the left and Sandwick on the right. This boundry carries on up between the hills following the Burn of Sowadee
