Package cruise from Scrabster

Page from a North of Scotland, Orkney & Shetland Shipping Company Limited brochure of 1955. The ship is the 2nd St Ola. Five-and-a-half guineas would be worth upwards of £125 today; not a king's ransom for 3 days 'all found'.

Comments:
I did the Kirkwall-Lerwick-Kirkwall part quite a few times as a peedie boy in the fifties. All food provided and a cabin for £4-10/-. No en-suite toilets though, just a w/basin in the cabin and a toilet shared among quite a lot of passengers!
Happy times. Thank you for the memory revive Ian.
