Here is a Ford car puzzle for David Tullock. I owned at one time a Ford Corsair 1600 engine model and I think the car was bought new by Mr Ross o the Highland Park, she was maroon and cream and had a BS number maybe 77**.
Is Colin Sutherland ane o the Flotta brither also in Rossland Garage and Catmurr Ha?.

The car in question was the 21st Corsair sold in Orkney and it was indeed registered new to Mr Robin Ross Customs Officer at The Highland Park (father of Hydro Ken Ross - drummer in The Nomads). Registered 2nd December 1964 BS7763. Imperial Maroon with a Platinum Grey roof.

That was Ken Ross's dad. He always had new cars from Tullock's. He was the customs man at the Highland park.

The above Andrew Ross was a non driver and the only other Ross who had a connection with the Highland Park was Mr. Robyn Ross a former Royal Naval Reserve officer who I believe had some connection with Customs and Excise, I may be wrong with that. The Colin Sutherland shown I do not think is connected with the Flotta Sutherland's but Eric Sutherland, Jock and Malcolm's brother, worked in the office at the Highland Park.

I think that Andy Ross ( above) is the father of Eddie Ross the ex policeman.

Ken Ross's father was C&E officer if I recall.

Robin Ross, my uncle, was indeed a Customs and Excise Officer attached to Highland Park Distillery, having previously been a Royal Naval reserve officer
