Manson, The Stoop, Longhope - Dog Tags

My late Great Uncle Sinclair's Dog Tags. I presume that CAM HRS is the Cameron Highlanders. Sinclair was born 25/04/1896 so he would be 18yrs old when the war started. I very much regret not asking lots more questions when I stayed with Mary, Isaac and Sinclair at the Stoop on holiday. I wonder if it would still be possible to trace his service record?

Comments:
More than half the service records of WW1 soldiers were destroyed in WW2 air-raids, but it would still be worth trying an appropriate website. The National Archive seems to have a user-friendly one for people starting out to trace family members' military records. The Orkney Archive would probably be helpful too.
