The photo is probably taken outside the main ammunition store for the fleet up Ore Brae.

We were having the North Walls school sports day in a field between the Hall and Ore about 1947-48 time, and a lot of army guys came and told us we had to leave the area, as they were going to be taking ammunition away from the magazines....
