'This picture of Eday looks up towards the top of Vinquoy hill. The croft on the far left is Greenfield...going right, on it's own is the Red House Watermill.....and further to the right,the Red House and Steading, below this in the fields can be seen tatties,oats and hay bales. According to local dialect Red House was in fact pronounced "Reed Ouse"

This was taken probably sometime in the 1960's from the farm of North Park. At the time both houses were unoccupied, but I believe that Red House is now occupied once more.'
