Sunday School outing? 1920 approx
One of several similar photos that Edwin Eunson had. I don't see anyone I recognise. This seems to be some sort of Sunday School trip to this ship, which must surely be a naval vessel, it is obviously quite large, and the other smaller ship on the left looks like a destroyer/frigate. The embossed stamp on the left says Victorious Studio. Does this mean it was HMS Victorious? (which according to Wikipedia was at Scapa Flow as a disarmed repair ship 1916-1920)

Having seen picture #26698 this is definitely on board HMS Victorious, and may be earlier than 1920. Any idea who the tall minister with the dog collar and mortarboard is? (in the back row) He appears in both photos.

Jim, I'm not sure exactly what the date should be, but my grandfather would have been born in about 1918 as he died aged 51 in 1969. Therefore the picture #26698 would have been taken that year or the following. So your date won't be far off!
