The club were planning to come back and race here this year but with the extra ferry traffic at the moment it was going to be difficult to arrange. Hopefully it will happen again soon if Rob is aggreable.

One time when the scramblers were transported out tae Hoy on the owld "Watchfull" and after they had all disembarked a important looking man approched owld Capt John Hourie and said "Capt Hourie I think you have exceeded your complement today" " And what the H**l is it tae dae wae you" says owld Hourie, at which time he produced his Board of Trade papers!!. Well says Hourie when them boys come back at night go you tae the buddam o the gangway and see if yae can stop them, they will fling yae ower the blooman pier!!.
The gent was never seen again!!.
