dredger working at slipway on West pier on Sunday moorning. Must be difficult to know how you're doing when you can't see underwater!

Re above comment about seeing underwater; Modern technology - GPS for position inacating combined with Depth Control Technology all serve to make it easier to achieve the required depth at a specific location as the digger simply stops at a given pre-programmed depth and when combined with an expeirenced operator who will most likely sweep across an area with the boom lowered to identify any high spots all serves to make the job a lot easier.
