Norwegian lifeboat Dagfinn Paust in Kirkwall basin around about 1988. I believe the vessel was based in Oslo and was visiting about the same time that the Mickie Salvesen took up station. As far as I can recall the large gentleman, in the white shirt, near to the bow is the late Jock of the Bu.

Must have been summer 1987 or summer 1989 when I was up to Orkney. I was not in Orkney in 1988 but I have a foto of both the Dagfinn & Kirkwall (or a visiting Shetland?) lifeboat chasing down Kirkwall Bay. I took the shot from the pop of the Golden Mariana where I caught a nice shower of the swell.
