Floor inside 41 Victoria Street, Stromness,laid by Italian workmen employed by Guilio Fugaccia owner of the Soda Fountain in early 1900's.In the doorway his name is inlaid in mosaic, at the feet of his grand-daughter, taken in 2008.

Was he the man who also had an ice-cream shop in Stronsay, and who advertised that it was "Cheap today. Free tomorrow."?? Daily!!

That tale was often told by my father, James Gibson who was brought up in Stromness - when the children returned the next day they were told "Ah, tomorrow he never come"
