Every house seemed to have a pair of "spy glasses" as they were called by most folk.
Us young folk o' the 1960's couldn't do much without being spied on!
When we got married in 1972 Heddle O' Manclett was spying on a pair of pigeons in the early hours of the morning and saw me being carried over the threshold of Kathleen and Ian McFadyen's caravan door. ;-)
