See the fishing "wann" hangan on the wall Issac would go down tae the rocks at night tae catch a few cuddins for there supper. And the water butt tae catch the rain fae the roof. All this is what is now called "Sustainable Living" the older generation called it "Mither Witt".

Every house seemed to have a pair of "spy glasses" as they were called by most folk.
Us young folk o' the 1960's couldn't do much without being spied on!
When we got married in 1972 Heddle O' Manclett was spying on a pair of pigeons in the early hours of the morning and saw me being carried over the threshold of Kathleen and Ian McFadyen's caravan door. ;-)
