The 1953 Storm damage in front of the Ayre Hotel.

Remember it well as we all went down to see it after the storm subsided. It was some mess all along the front.

Does anyone know when that storm took place in 1953? My grandfather owned the hotel and he died in 1953...wondering if it was just too much for him!
