Comments:
see photo #1593 . This was my class - taken, I would imagine, at the same time as this photo. I think that we would have been in P2 at the time

Somethings never change, they could not spell my name then and it seems not even now.I think it was the year we went up to the primary school.

Just opened this in Oregon, USA. The teacher's name was Ann Watson, we called her Miss Watson, Alistair. If my memory serves me correctly we were in P2 at this time. Thanks for the memory!
Wendy used to be Budge, now Halstead

This was actually my class. I remember them all well as, in those days, we had each Infant class for two years. Tough on the kids who didn't like their teacher!! Once in two years there was an infant concert and that class did "An English Country Garden" with children dressed up as flowers or insects that visit gardens, as I recall. Muriel was the lead/ solo singer and is still going strong in the cathedral choir.
The teacher in this picture is Ann Taylor, later Mrs Tait. I was off school when this was taken and she was on supply.

I knew that our teacher for the infant school was MISS FIDDLER, I just could not remember for how long she had the privilege of teaching us. I knew that the techer in the photo was not her, I just had no idea who it was. A long time ago now, must be ** years, lets not count.

I remember the concert "An English Country Garden" Miss Fiddler mentioned. I was a butterfly and Hilda Leisk was one also. Whenever I hear THAT SONG I am reminded of that concert.
