Tom Kent Sketch around 1930 (in bad condition)
Something a bit different - a signed Tom Kent sketch. A caricature really, it shows Tom himself and the lady is I believe, via Tom's ggg-niece Shona, Tom's sister Lizzie, who, like Tom, never married. I had thought it had to be his wife in the picture and wondered about how unflattering it was of her, but if it's his sister it's easier to understand.
A better photographer than artist!

A pity it's in such bad condition. I'm sure you'll be doing everything you can to stop it getting worse. It's presumably drawn on paper, but it seems to be very coarse stuff, like wrapping paper, or even the back of old wallpaper. Something prone to deterioration anyway. As you say it's different, indeed it's unique in its way. Worth preserving.

That should be gg-niece Shona, the gg-daughter of Tom's other sister Margaret.
