ThE PRINCE ShAKING hANDS...

In an odd mix of upper and lower case letters, the caption reads 'ThE PRINCE ShAKING hANDS with thE StROMNESS LIfE-BOAt CREW'
The prince must be Edward, Prince of Wales, and the date must be before his ascent to the throne in 1936 as Edward VIII. There will be viewers who can name the actual date and the occasion (and perhaps the photographer).
The Admiral coming down the slipway has his notes ready for what I'm sure would have been a riveting speech, but on what subject?
This is from a small, unsharp, worn postcard. Sorry I can't do more justice to a potentially first-rate picture.
