Comments:
This 46 ft vessel was built as a 'Watson' class lifeboat at Cowes in 1953. She was named the 'Edian Courtauld' having been gifted to the RNLI by Augustine Courtauld of the famous textile company. She served as the Walton and Frinton lifeboat from 1953-1977 during which time she was launched 227 times and saved 143 lives. The original deck housing was replaced by Hull Steelcraft in Hull and she was brought to Orkney by Jimmy Flett about 1984 where she was used to provide a launch service to tankers in Scapa Flow.I bought her in early 1994 and continued the launch service and sold her in 2000. The last I heard of her she was in Ireland.

Hi, Rob just to inform you of the latest ownership of the vessel Edian Courtauld. We bought her in June of this year(2012). She is now lying in Cardiff. She is partly kitted out as a livaboard but as yet we are unsure what to do with her, She has been renamed Juno, not by us may I add, and she was painted white and blue
