The Tree Kirkwall 1967
Picture added on 11 January 2010 at 17:00
The year will be 1968 as the car on the left of the picture is Frank McGinn's Corsair 2000E Registration number BBS100F , colour Blue Mink Metallic , first registered 6th June 1968. This car was often seen "flying along" Kirkwall/Stromness road when being driven by a young Andy McGinn.

The detailed info about what's on the left of the picture is very interesting. But what about the stalactites and stalagmites on the right?

I have to agree with David. Having rummaged through the grey matter the photo would have been 1968.
Ian, I'll have you know that the cave effect was skilfully rendered through the use of the snap- coat and brush facility of the Polaroid so in vogue at the time! It was even more effective after home brew and whisky!!
Note the Ford Corsair I hired.
