Comments:
Great photo, there were obviously no barber shops in Orkney at the time? Only joking, I know it was the fashion and I'm jealous because I couldn't grow my hair long, it just grew outwards instead.

The Kirkwall BB's will be celebrating their Centenary next year (21 March 2009) and will be holding an exhibition in Tankerness House Museum. If there any old or current member with any old photos or memorabilia, and would be will to lend them to the Company for this occasion, please contact any Officer or member of the Company’s Advisory Committee. There is due to be another open day later in the summer.

Aah those were the days! I remember this photo so well. At the time I was playing the side drum. I left a year later and moved to Dundee. Such good times in Orkney! Hello to all my friends!
