Interesting Specimen Ballot paper produced by Temperance Society for poll in Kirkwall found inside a book. Date in 1920s - there were 2 polls in Stromness - in 1923 and in 1926, so I am guessing this would have been at the same time as one of those. Kirkwall stayed "wet" but Stromness was "dry" until 1947.
