While looking at the photo it's interesting to note that a number of those pictured run very successful businesses, some are teachers, at least one is in the army, two are farmers, two have important jobs with the council, a couple are at sea, some went into nursing, one yaps on Radio Orkney and two ended up getting married to each other. All said and done - I think we turned out not too bad.

I must have missed this one being taken.

Anyone else remember any of the nick names?
Added by Jeff Miller on 30 December 2006
I resisted the temptation to put in the nicknames Jeff. I thought that some of them might have seemed a bit ....err uncomplimentary. But I don't suppose anyone is really that bothered. E mail me and we'll swap nickname lists.

I remember this photo being taken and have a copy of it. It is strange looking at it now and realising that I now work in the Council Offices and have done so for the last 28 years, makes me feel old.

That bushy-haired Gray boy in the middle row looks a bit dodgy. He'll be trouble later in life - you mark my words.

Bet he wishes he was still bushy-haired !

Hi Mike - Yes your dad was who I was thinking about when I wrote that. Haven't seen him for years but tell him Grayo says hello.

I really loved those boots - I don't think I could walk in them now - probably couldn't at the time either! Photo made me feel very nostalgic - it really doesn't seem that long ago.
