Comments:
When I was a boy growing up in Stromness, Orcadians’ were proud of their Viking ancestry and quite dismissive of any claims that Scotland had on us. What’s changed since I left? As a regular visitor to this and the Orcadian web sites there seems to be more and more Scottish iconology creeping in. I even remember the early days of the SNP, when a movement was formed in Orkney and Shetland with the aim of taking us back to Norway if Scotland gained independence.

Colin Watson has done a fine job on this. He certainly sent many an hour working on it in the cold building at Weyland Farm. Well done Colin
