Comments:
I remember this bay well, in braw weather and bad. I was part of a three man team who built the concrete plinth lighthouse in 1983. We lived on the island for months at a time going home for a week then returning to Swona. We lived in a farm house just off the haven. I was 18 years old and waiting to enlist in the RAF. My time on Swona was some of the happiest in my life. Just remembered Cyril Annal was chap who ferried us to and from the island. He also took us into the caves under the island.
