Very vague date for picture, had been taken before we visited home in 1993, but includes the then 'new' extension of kitchen/bathroom. Farm then owned by my late uncle, Jacky Pratt
Picture added on 10 May 2009
My mother bought Swartaquoy from Jacky Pratt in late 1999 and I lived there with my husband and 2 young sons through the summer of 2000. We sold it to David and Gail Vines in 2001. I also gave her the small plot of land and shed thereon situated at the left of drive to Quoybanks as I had already sold the rest of the land at Quoybanks to Odinstone.

Lovely to see your comment Miranda, I believe the farm is up for sale again. Many happy memories. Maggie

I see it’s advertised in Wilson’s Property Auctions as for sale by a financial institution at auction on 11 July 2019 and it is derelict now. What a shame ! I wonder whatever happened? It was such a lovely place. How sad.

Hi it’s really amazing to see the house and farm buildings in their prime , I bought it from auction not knowing how badly abandoned and neglect the whole farm has had , I will try my best with all my energy to make it look how it was , with some modern touches , any more history about its residents and their pics or names will be nice to keep a history record of the house before history is forgotten.
