I would be very grateful if you would send me the names of the people in picture #20053. I think one of the ladies may be Mrs Mary Spence, Pow, Costa, Evie and her sisters are Rosa Johnston and Edith Kirkness.

Living in Amersham Bucks I saw the picture #20053 and think that I can pick out a face called Mary Spence of Pow Costa Evie who had family at Northside Birsay namely sisters Rosa Johnstone and Edith Kirkness. Could you send me the list of names? Thank you Brian Linklater

My ancesters came from Doverhouse Birsay. My grandfather was Alexander Spence, his father and mother were Alexander and Andrina Spence.
My great great grandparents were John and Margaret Spence, all from Doverhouse. Could they be in this photo? I live in Australia and recently visited Orkney tracing my ancestry. All my history was destroyed when I was a child.
Any photos would be so precious to me.
