'New' bowling green opening next to Earl's Palace, July 1909

I was recently gifted a silver Vesta Match Safe. On one side is a Coat of Arms with a 3-masted sailing ship with the word 'Kirkwall' in the banner. On the other side is the inscription "K.B.C. President's Prize Midnight Game 1916 F.Hall". I wonder if this could be from Kirkwall Bowling Club. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
