Comments:
I think the very young lady in the middle, wearing the double breasted jacket, is the Davie girl who was to become 'Miss Orkney' on more than one occasion. She was very good looking as was Harry Russell's youngest sister who also took the 'title' more than once. The Royal British Legion ran the most popular 'Miss Orkney' contests annually for many years and the worthwhile office bearers of that era also went to a lot of work to produce numerous Fancy Dress Parades which were extremely well supported and great fun!
