This is the entrance to Wm Sutherlands shop note the similarity to the other entrance.
I have been told the two wooden pillers seen here were condemned masts from the pulling and sailing Lifeboat Anne Miles. The Anne Milles left Longhope in 1926, there must have been a bit o good tweed, in the mast still!! As you can see there seems to be no rot in 2009!
