Ethel thinks it might have been the coronation for QE2, so I guess it would be 1953.

I wonder whar aboots it was on the Island ?
Added by Keith Dempsey on 17 April 2009
If it was George VI, the date was 12th May 1937. How do I know that? Well the late Robert Johnston was born that day and there was a cup on his parents mantlepiece to commemorate the event
