Thanks for that Merv, but the credit for initially lowering the price must be shared equally by the 4 petrol stations who continue to purchase their fuel from Simpsons in Caithness. Namely John G Shearer & Sons (Ayre Service Station), Norman Brass(North End Garage) Wm Sutherland (Sutherlands Stenness) and ourselves W R Tullock & Sons Ltd (Castle Garage)

Well done David and the other 3 stations for helping the locals get a better deal on fuel.It about time the big boys were brought down a peg or two.

Dave, why has some of the other garages been left with their signs?
Added by Alastair on 17 January 2009
Alastair, That is a question you should direct to Scottish Fuels, tel 01856 873105. Rumour has it that they (Scottish Fuels) only wanted our sign back and that the others are being allowed to keep "theirs". Watch this space. Something about "goose and gander" springs to mind.

Dave I notice the one in Stenness has had liberal coat of blue paint applied over the logos.
