'This is a picture which my Grandad took past the house last night and is looking for information on. It was taken alongside Kirkwall Pier but when, he does not know. It seems to be a fancy dress parade, and he said that he remembers the old Nissan hut on the pier along with what he thought was an air raid shelter? As well as that there is a building where the Old man's hut now stands. He also thought that on the bottom right of the photograph there are members of the TA. ? Any info would be great!'
