Kirklands road school kids waiting for the bus. This was something of a social occasion with everyone meeting early for the bus and various games being played prior to it arriving. I remember at least one occasion on a rather snowy Quoybanks, the older children being asked to disembark and help shove the bus up the road after it became stuck! I can't imagine that happening nowadays. And looking back, why did we get the bus from Kirklands road anyway, it's not that far!
