Meanwhile the men in the photo are, left to right, my grandfather, James Flett, manager of Garden's Harray branch (Harray Stores), James Flett, Kingshouse, Harray, on whose land the photo was taken, and John Hourston of Garden's Manure and Seeds Department.

I am interested in the photo of James Flett, Kingshouse, Harray. If I am correct his daughter was my aunt through marriage and he is the grandfather of Mike Drever, Kirkwall. I see a strong resemblance there. I have always heard that Mr Flett of Kingshouse was a fine man.
