Swop this for Orkney?

Tom Scott writes:
'I am attaching a photo I took four years ago of "Ravenscraig Castle", in Fife. You may wonder why I am offering a picture of an old ruined castle in Fife for the Orkney Image Library. Well, the story goes back to 20th February 1471 when King James III of Scotland gave the castle and lands of Ravenscraig to William St Clair in exchange for all his rights to the Earldom of Orkney. In retrospect it would appear to have been a poor bargain. Orkney is in rather better shape than the old castle is now.'
