A colourful beast, that someone with better knowledge of these things can identify. With the natural world, I don't get more detailed than 'It's a bird' or 'It's a plant', or indeed 'It's a bird or plant'. This is a moth.

I am sure that it is a garden tiger moth that can be seen during the months of June, July and August
