Ring o' Brodgar dig from a kite

Taken on Saturday by my camera attached to a kite line.

You can see a stone at the top of the picture and the curve of the ring, the area of the dig, as well as the earth which has been removed has been placed on black sheeting.

For an idea of scale there is a man at the top of a ladder coming out of the hole!

Comments:
What a shame when all these digs come to an end, that the holes get filled in again. How nice it would be if these could be left open for all to see, and let people get a better understanding of how great these monuments really are.
