I don't think St Clair's Emporium is visible in this, but I posted a comment on picture #1159 a while back about its original location. My father told me that the Admiralty was selling off two sheds, a big one and a small one, but the lot numbers somehow got mixed up and someone got a bargain. [The building pictured on the left is the former store and offices of Tait the plasterers- Steven]

I don't think St Clairs Emporium, opened 1955, could be seen from this viewpoint.

I think St Clairs was from half way up Ore brae, am I correct??.
