Last night I witnessed what can be done in a garage. A few years ago I went along with young Richard Wilson to Lyness to measure his grandads old boat that was lying in a shed. The boat was more or less just a ruckle o owld wid. The idea of restoring the old boat was then born, in time this was achieved to a great standard. Then came the novel idea of a new build, Richard and his dad spent the best part of two years building her when ever time would allow. The boat was built out of larch on oak with the fitting being all stainless steel. Richard served his time at Craigie Engineering as a machinest but I think his first love is wid and as you can see here is a very talented young man, the LIZZIE 2 is a credit to both himself and his dad.

Excellent workmanship, be proud of what you have achieved, finally some craft you do not buy off the shelf.
