Inside last fuel tank at Lyness

This is inside the last remaining tank at the former naval base at Lyness in Hoy, now the Scapa Flow Visitor Centre. The picture shows the heating elements in the base of the tank, which would have been used to reduce the viscosity of the oil to allow it to be pumped. The tank is now a museum.

Comments:
If some day somebody will start giving oscars for the best re-cycling ideas, I am sure this visitors' centre will be the first to get a few.
